KTM communiqué officiel Marvin Musquin unable to compete at MX2 GP in Uddevalla Sweden The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team has issued a statement concerning the current legal situation that has arisen regarding their rider Marvin Musquin, which has resulted in him being unable to compete in the current round of the world championship in Uddevalla, Sweden. A court this week ruled that Marvin Musquin, the current world championship standings leader, is forced to race again for the NGS Honda team at least for the current MX2 GP Round in Uddevalla, Sweden. KTM sincerely hopes that further dealings with the court and negotiations with those involved next week will be able to clarify the legal situation as regards to the rest of the racing season. While KTM does respect this court ruling, Musquin is however unable to ride for the Honda team this weekend simply because the team in question has now filled it's two mandatory allowable places with other riders. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team very much regrets that this unclear situation is preventing Musquin from continuing to pursue his goal in the current season. The above mentioned situation, while very unclear, does not negatively affect Musquin's relationship with KTM and the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team in any way, according to Winfried Kerschhaggl, KTM Racing Director. "We have agreed on a long term relationship with Marvin and one with very clear objectives," Kerschhaggl said, speaking from the Uddevalla MX racing venue in Sweden this weekend. "As soon as the current situation is legally cleared up, we will offer him a contractual agreement that is consummate with this rider's potential and talent," he added.
